For quite some time, there were only a few models commercially available, that were specially designed for the Mini Fan pro.
It is not that easy to design and manufacture a model, that both is light, easy to build, flies well and looks excellent.
This model was one of the first ones, and just as its original it is a classic design already.
Not only, that the complete model comes CNC machined with a clever construction. For the first time we found, that a manufacturer delivered an optimized ducting, that needed no modification.
You can see the frame construction in the photos on this page.The model is assembled in one piece, due to its size.
The Skyray is completely sheeted and covered with Japanese tissue. The construction is a little complex due to the bottom curvatures, and is recommended for the experienced builder.
This little delta has flown successfully with a SPEED 480 on eight cells, but we recommend a motor with at least 200 W input for maximum fun. The GP 2200 cells or similar provide a powerful setup combined with increased flying time.
Because of the limited space available in the battery compartment, LiPo cells may be a tight fit.
A special feature is the adjustable thrust nozzle.
The kit comprises all CNC machined wood parts, foam veneer wings, small components, vac formed parts and detailed English building instructions.
The model is launched with a bungee. It flies delta like. It is rock solid and can be easily slowed down for landing. On the other hand it needs to be flown in smooth big circles, high angles of attack result in a lot of drag.
